Leaving Sedona you will
travel through the Oak Creek Canyon, one of the most scenic drives in
the U.S , on to the Mogollan Rim onto Flagstaff .
The majestic
San Francisco Peaks loom in the north, sacred to both Hopi and the Navajo.
We
make a brief stop at The Cameron Trading Post on
the Navajo Reservation.
The raft trip begins at the base of
the Glen Canyon Dam. Enjoy the
spectacular scenery as you float through
the Glen
Canyon on the mighty Colorado.
Picnic lunch is on
the
sandy beaches where you will have the opportunity to view petroglyphs
of the early inhabitants. Pack a towel as you will be able to splash
about in the cool and clear waters!
You will be met at Lee's
Ferry for your return journey to Sedona, passing by the
Vermillion and
the Echo Cliffs.
After a stop at The Cameron Trading Post, an
opportunity to buy souvenirs, we head on back to Sedona.
